Moringa Soap reducing contamination

Moringa Oleifera Soap reducing bacterial contamination.Moringa Oleifera Soap reducing bacterial contamination.

Moringa Oleifera could be very useful in places where soap or water is not available, and where this tree grows naturally.

It could also be a cheap and healthy hand-washing optional product.

Efficacy of Moringa Oleifera leaf powder as a hand- washing product. Other authors found that aqueous and ethanolic Moringa oleifera leaf extracts were effective against Salmonella.

Diarrheal disease are a common cause of morbidity and the leading cause of death among children under five, accounting for 19% of mortality in this age group [1]. Most of all diarrheal deaths of children under five years are in Africa and South East Asia [2].

The vast majority of diarrheal diseases are caused by bacteria, viruses and protozoa, mainly found in human faeces which are spread from the stool of one person to the mouth of another. Hands can act as a vector for transmission of faecal pathogens, either via direct person-to-person transmission or by contaminating food that is later consumed [3]. Hand washing after defecation and before handling food is therefore a biologically plausible mechanism for interrupting pathogen transmission. Hands are also transmission vectors for respiratory infections, and interventions promoting hand hygiene have been shown to reduce gastrointestinal and respiratory illnesses by an average of 31% and 21%, respectively [4].

Methods: The hands of fifteen volunteers were artificially contaminated with Escherichia coli. Moringa oleifera leaf powder was tested as a hand washing product and was compared with reference non-medicated liquid soap using a cross over design following an adaptation of the European Committee for Standardization protocol (EN 1499). In a second part of tests, the efficacy of the established amount of Moringa oleifera leaf powder was compared with an inert powder using the same protocol.

Moringa Anti Ageing

Moringa the prized plant for anti-aging.

Solar ultraviolet exposure is the main cause of skin damage by initiation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) leading to skin collagen imperfection and eventually skin roughness. This can be reduced by proper revitalization of skin enhancing younger and healthier appearance.

The anti-oxidant cystine, found in in Moringa Oleifera stop free radicals, whilst the proteins accelerate the re-growth of new cells.

Furthermore, the vitamin A in Moringa assists in the production of collagen and elastin, helping firm your skin and rid it of wrinkles and other skin defects.

In short, the nutrients which are found in Moringa, can help to keep your skin healthy and fit. Clearly it won’t turn back the clock but as part of a healthy lifestyle and healthy diet it will make a real difference to your health.

Moringa contains a plant hormone known as zeatin. The name ‘zeatin’ is derived from two Greek words (zytos = cell, kinesis = movement). Zeatin contains robust anti-aging properties.

There are currently no other plants to be reported to possess the same, abundant levels of zeatin other than the moringa plant, making moringa the prized plant for anti-aging.

Moringa Oleifera Dietary supplement

Moringa Oleifera as a Dietary supplement.Moringa Oleifera as a Dietary supplement.

Moringa Oleifera  is an unbelievable source of all macro, micro elements amino acids and dietary fiber.

About 2000 years ago, Hippocrates correctly emphasized “Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food”.

Faculty of Engineering & Technology
Jadavpur University, Dietary supplement.

However,  supplements  should  not  replace variety of foods that are important to a healthy diet, so it is necessary to take variety of foods as well. We are currently eating foods that are out of balance even though the requirements for these nutrients for optimal health have remained constant (Eaton and Konner, 1985).

Moringa Oleifera  is an unbelievable source of all macro, micro elements amino acids and dietary fiber. No single food contains all of the vitamins and minerals. So it is unbelievable to get all the nutrients in a single plant. That’s why it is called as ‘miracle tree’. It is a good source of tocopherols, -carotene (pro-vitamin A), vitamin C, calcium, protein,  potassium. The leaf is highly nutritious and contains significant quantities of crude protein, vitamins and minerals. The pod is an excellent source of amino acid. Therefore the present investigation has been carried out to explore this plant as a nutritional Dietary supplement by estimating the food value.

The investigation work carried out has been represented in the thesis through the following section: The difference between the two is termed as “nutrient gap”. This can have adverse influences on the energy processes of the body that are necessary for all vital functions. Currently neutraceuticals are recognized as being beneficial in coronary heart disease, obesity, diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis and other chronic and degenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases. Evidences indicate that the mechanistic actions of natural compounds involve a wide array of biological processes, including activation of antioxidant defenses, signal transduction pathways, cell survival-associated gene expression, cell proliferation and differentiation and preservation of mitochondrial integrity. It appears that these properties play a crucial role in the protection against the pathologies of numerous age-related or chronic diseases (Mandel et al., 2005).

Moringa Mania

Moringa mania

Moringa Mania.

The potential of the Moringa Oleifera.

Why Moringa. The world’s population is projected to be 40 percent higher by 2050.

And yet our farmland is shrinking every year.

16.5921 million ha of rural land has been permanently lost in the last 25 years to highways, shopping malls, poorly planned sprawl and other development, according to a new analysis by the American Farmland Trust.  Of that amount, 9.30777 million ha (an area the size of Indiana) was agricultural land.  The rate of recent farmland loss has been an astounding acre per minute.

A 60 percent increase in food prices is predicted by 2050…and those costs could rise even higher after natural or manmade environmental catastrophes. http://switchboard.nrdc.org/blogs/kbenfield/were_losing_an_acre_of_farmlan.html

Moringa is picking up steam in parts of the world where it’s never even been heard of. That’s how the Moringa market, estimated to be worth more than $4 billion per year today, is projected to be worth $7 billion by 2020.

One of the biggest and best solutions to the world’s malnutrition problems is the Moringa tree. Points out what a few people on the planet already know and what most people on the planet will recognize sooner or late.

The Moringa tree – Moringa Oleifera – Is jam-packed with nutritional value. On a gram per gram basis, Moringa has twice the protein of yogurt, seven times the vitamin C of oranges, four times the vitamin A of carrots, and four times as much calcium as milk. It’s also been associated with cholesterol reduction, balancing of blood sugar, and it even has antibacterial properties. http://www.smallcapnetwork.com/The-Only-Way-to-Invest-in-Moringa-Mania/s/via/10/article/view/p/mid/3/id/611/
